“It was a huge pleasure to attend the launch of the Building Plymouth ‘Adopt A School’ campaign at the National marine Aquarium. Coombe Dean students are benefiting from the partnership which has already seen 360 key stage 4 students informed of the opportunities for careers within the construction industry, and there are plans for more events which will see construction companies and their staff work closely with Coombe Dean students from all year groups on a number of projects and applied learning activities. Such involvement enriches our curriculum and promotes opportunities for students to apply their learning in school to real-life situations in the workplace.”
