Plymouth Community Homes

Plymouth Community Homes (PCH) is Plymouth’s largest social housing landlord with over 16,000 properties providing homes to over 35,000 people in Plymouth and the surrounding areas.

Their mission is to provide a high-quality home for everyone, believing that everyone has the right to a clean, comfortable, safe and secure affordable place to live. Their vision is to provide homes and communities where people want to live, and they are focused on providing first-class services to their residents, and listening to their feedback so they can adapt and grow to meet the local need.

Their values which are care, respect, listen and do the right thing guide how they act as an organisation and provide a code of behaviours for their staff to live by, so they act fairly, honestly and with integrity.

As well as offering affordable and social rent properties across Plymouth, Devon and Cornwall, PCH sells shared ownership homes through its brand SO Living, selling more than 300 properties to date. PCH has an ambitious Growth Strategy which aims to see 1,000 new homes for local people delivered by 2029 – of these 700 new homes would be for social or affordable rent to meet the ever growing housing needs faced by individuals and families in the areas they operate, and 300 for shared ownership sale.

Plans for development include inner city regeneration at sites in Plymouth city centre and sustainable new build development at sites including Southway and Crownhill. PCH is also a commercial landlord managing 170 shops. PCH is committed to reducing its carbon footprint with an Environmental Strategy which features objectives to decarbonise all its properties and achieve net-carbon zero across the business by 2050. Their Head Office is located at Plumer House, which serves as a modern business centre and is home to long-term business tenants and available to hire for conferencing, training and meetings.
