We’re thrilled to announce our recent Building Plymouth Summit 2019/ 2020 was an outstanding success. With a full and totally engaged audience, inspiring presenters and meaningful, positive content that has really set the scene for an amazing year in 2020 following such a productive 2019 performance, with great outcomes evidenced for apprenticeships, jobs created, up-skilling of the current workforce and so much more.
A review and preview of Building Plymouth’s current and future partnership and collaborations
From Clllr Tudor Evans OBE upbeat introduction about the city’s construction pipeline and need for skilled workers, through to Building Plymouth’s own ‘Force of Nature’ Emma Hewitt’s review of the innovative public/ private sector partnership’s incredible and wide ranging successes in 2019, to some impassioned words from local educational establishments, a virtual visit to the Job Shop, impressive results from employment and skills plans, and ending with the much lauded business and community venture that is The Road to Mayflower, the summit really showed how collaboration and a ‘can do’ attitude can make a huge and lasting impact on the city of Plymouth and its people.
