Building Plymouth Hosted Meet The City Buyer Event

Building Plymouth, the Council-led sector skills partnership with construction and built environment will be hosting a Meet the City Buyers event at the Rolle Marquee, University of Plymouth on Thursday 4 June.

The city’s key clients including Babcock, University Hospitals Plymouth NHS Trust, Plymouth City Council, University of Plymouth and Plymouth Community Homes will be sharing the latest news about their capital programmes leading up to 2030 with a predicted150 strong audience.

Members of the local construction community will hear directly from the clients and be able to take part in some informal networking, and the chance to chat to the clients one to one.

The event will again be held in partnership and be kindly sponsored by First Thursday Club.

Emma Hewitt, Skills Lead, Plymouth City Council said: “The Meet the City Buyers event is about us creating a positive engagement opportunity between the city’s public sector clients and the local construction community. A chance to hear about the bigger picture, get informed about the market opportunities ahead, understand latest procurement strategies and client priorities for social value. We are working hard together to improve transparency of the capital programme and to create an informative networking opportunity to better connect clients with the local marketplace.”
