LDA Design

LDA Design is a collective of placemakers – landscape architects, strategists, planners, urban designers, masterplanners and environmental consultants – who aim to shape the world for the better. We are proud to be 100 percent employee owned.
We champion change that raises the quality of life without hurting the planet.

We start at the end, identifying the most ambitious outcomes for projects by asking ‘what’s the change you want to see?’ and then listening closely to the answers.

We have two studios in the South West and a wide range of experience across the region. We understand the communities in which we live and work, and the challenges they face from climate breakdown, nature loss and social inequity.

We have worked in Plymouth for many years and have built strong relationships with communities, local government, institutions, developers and consultants, creating successful places that are more than the sum of their parts.

Why are you supporting Building Plymouth?

LDA Design has partnered with Plymouth City Council for more than two decades, supporting the city’s regeneration, growth and long term vision. Our relationship with Plymouth has been defined by a shared commitment to high quality, sustainable placemaking.

Building Plymouth is a great initiative which opens up opportunities for local people to work within the built environment. It provides a platform to share knowledge, support ambition and shape Plymouth’s future. We are proud to be part of Building Plymouth and to keep learning and to share what we’ve learnt along the way.
