Mercury Construction
Mercury Construction is a Principal Contractor operating from its Head Office in Plymouth and a secondary office in Exeter, delivering award-winning fast-paced construction and building solutions across Devon and the South West since 2006.
We are the best choice for any large, complex, or demanding local construction project due to our proven track record in education (schools, colleges, and universities), healthcare, local government, blue light, defence and armed forces, heritage and historic, as well as the commercial, retail, and industrial sectors.
As a dynamically growing company, we are ready to embrace new challenges and opportunities, driven by providing exceptional value for money whilst delivering an outstanding customer experience. We have a social responsibility to act ethically and contribute to economic development while also improving the quality of life for our employees and their families, as well as the local community in which we operate. We are continuously improving the management of our people and processes, as well as the impact we have on society. Our company motto is Building Solutions Together.
We recognise that every project is unique, requiring tailored delivery to meet individual client needs. We therefore provide a professional and considered service underpinned by open communication, integrity, and consistency. Our team delivers a reliable and compliant service across all business processes, supported by an integrated ISO management system (9001, 14001, 45001) and a full suite of health and safety and SSIP accreditations, including SSG Assessed, CHAS, Constructionline, SafeContractor, Quidos Salus / ACDC, and PQS.
In Autumn 2025, we upgraded our Exeter office by relocating to larger premises near Exeter Airport, supporting continued growth and improved service delivery capacity across our operations.
Celebrating our 20th year in 2026, we continue to grow and as part of that, evolve our sustainability agenda, including the planned introduction of electric vehicles into our fleet at the end of 2025. We have enrolled two team members on the Future Climate Leaders course at the University of Plymouth and actively support Plymouth City Council’s Climate Connections programme. We are also a corporate sponsor of Theatre Royal Plymouth, supporting its cultural contribution to the city and the arts sector.
We currently have two carpentry apprentices enrolled at City College Plymouth and support numerous work experience placements throughout the year. In 2025, we were pleased to adopt Eggbuckland Community College as part of Building Plymouth’s Adopt a School programme.
