Plymouth Community Homes

Plymouth Community Homes (PCH) is Plymouth’s largest social housing landlord with over 16,000 properties providing homes to over 35,000 people in Plymouth and the surrounding areas.

PCH’s mission is to provide a high-quality home for everyone, believing that everyone has the right to a clean, comfortable, safe and secure affordable place to live. The organisation’s vision is to provide homes and communities where people want to live, and there is a focus on providing first-class services to their residents and listening to their feedback so services can adapt and grow to meet the local need.

PCH asks its staff to live by its values, which are ‘care’, ‘respect’, ‘listen’ and ‘do the right thing’. These values guide how PCH acts as an organisation and provide a code of behaviours for staff to live by, so they act fairly, honestly and with integrity.

As well as offering affordable and social rent properties across Plymouth, Devon & Cornwall, PCH also develops and sell shared ownership homes through its brand SO Living, selling more than 350 homes to date, helping hundreds of homeowners get onto the property ladder. PCH has an ambitious Growth Strategy to deliver 1,500 new affordable homes in the area over the next five years, along with a wider ambition to grow across the Devon & Cornwall region over the next 10 years.

Recent PCH development projects include the 12-year regeneration of North Prospect – the largest regeneration project of its kind in the South West this century. This scheme has been nationally recognised, winning multiple awards for its transformation of the area and its positive impact on the local community.

PCH is also a commercial landlord, managing over 170 shops and workspaces, including Plumer House, the organisation’s head office, which is home to long-term business tenants and available to hire for conferences, training rooms and meetings.

PCH is committed to reducing its carbon footprint with an Environmental Strategy which features objectives to decarbonise all its properties and achieve net-carbon zero across the business by 2050.
